Death … is sad again????
A few days back Myself along with a few mates watched a video of a mans’ head being cut off……. seriously a real live unedited clip of some military folk take a small knife … slowly & very painfully slice a guys neck off – halfway first so he suffers for a few (long) minutes tick tock tick tock!!….then feeeling compashionate they clumsily slice the rest of his head off. It’s suprising that the kill is far more simpler but much much more painful than the movies protray…..They luagh as the bodyless head is kicked around like a nausious football..the head still breathes u can see it!!!… afterwards the head is returned to the poor headless dude (placed on his chest) so viewers can enjoy the wonders of the talking head!!! as the eyes & mouth move in a bloody mess as the head has still not figured out it’s dead.. (guess the guy was a bit sloooow ha ha) …
Man that was disturbing @ first though… we first thought of not watching it as it popped up in a random VCD a friend had baught on the pavement – the movie contained mainly awesome music videos from the likes of “mushrood head”, “metalika” & “Cradle of filth” oh plus a bonus “Hips don’t lie vid!!’ … so right after Shakira ends shaking those amazing hips ahhhh… came a headchoppers.. at first we wanted to switch it off but then “what the hell!!??” we are after all children of war & we’ve vitnessed suicide bombings gallore… endless assasinations … & a war that will never ends with more twists and turns than a tolkien epic…..so we skipped it back to Mr. Grim reapers latest release only on pavement VCD – The head slicing… man it just went on & on the worst part was the “Fuck – It’s real!!! It’s a real fucking man dying!! or being murdered” but we watched every gory bit of it!!! & felt important that we were among the few who’d watched a man die….
Was it disturbing – fuck YES
Did it freak me out – For a few hours yes!
Does it still bother me – NOT at all… well maybe a little (That’s y i’m writing this)
But the thing is we moved on ….the experaince was just etched into the back of our minds “this is how a person dies!!” wow…so now we just chat about how freaky it was while having a smoke but thats it….it’s just entertainment “reality TV at it’s best!”.. guess this is what will be featured on Zone reality in years to come……. so sit back..re-lax… enjoy the best of reality coming soon to a TV near you… can you stomach it???

I got to see the beheading of Shosei Koda by terrorists some time back. Me, being seasoned from having seen my share of headless bodies during the chaotic days when the JVP ran amok was pretty traumatized by seeing the actual deed being committed. But as you say, life goes on and you tuck it away at the back of your head, but thinking about it still gives you the heeby jeebies!

Well… I was still a tiny tot back then. Got to stay home from school quite a bit and no one questioned why so can’t really say it sucked for me. But looking back at that period of time it sure did suck the bhajeezes for a lot of people.
